Steamed Grouper (Ikan Kerapu Kukus)

Grouper is 'sweet', has soft flesh and therefore suitable for steaming. I only had the small size Groupers but was ok. Although this dish does not look outstanding can ensure you that it is tasty.

Serves 4-5 persons

INGREDIENTS:

1 kg Grouper/(s)

2" Ginger*

2 tsp Black Pepper Corns*

3-4 cloves Garlic* (* pounded) 

2 tbsp Fish Sauce

3 tbsp Oyster Sauce

Lemon slices

Coriander Leaves

Salt



METHOD:

1. Clean fish & rub with salt.

Rub fish with pounded ingredients & oyster sauce.

Place fish in a steaming plate.

Pour fish sauce.

Arrange lemon slices on it & sprinkle chopped coriander leaves.



2. Steam for 10-15 minutes.

Serve immediately with white rice.

BAHASA MALAYSIA VERSION
Lauk yang simple & sihat. Walaupun nampak tak cantik tapi berperisa.


Hidangan 4-5 orang
BAHAN2:
1 kg Ikan Kerapu
2" Halia*
2 st Lada Hitam Biji*
3-4 ulas Bwg Putih* (*tumbuk)
2 sb Sos Ikan
3 sb Oyster Sauce
Hirisan Lemon
Daun Ketumbar
Garam


CARA2:
1. Bersihkan ikan & lumurkan sedikit garam.
Ratakan bhan tumbuk & sos oyster.
Letakkan ikan ke dlm pinggan pengukus.
Tuangkan sos ikan.
Susun di atas ikan kepingan lemon & hirisan daun ketumbar.


2. Kukus 10-15 minit.
Hidangkan segera dgn nasi putih.
